JOB SUMMARY

This position works closely with the Engineering Department and Draftsmen to develop, perfect and produce new products to bring to market. You will be expected to develop processes to ensure machined parts meet print design / tolerances, that are cost effective and efficient. This position is responsible for programing, setting up and operating a Tsugami B0123-III Swiss Screw machine.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and / or ability required.

• High School diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)
• Cam software programming experience. GibbsCam PREFERRED
• Knowledge in G&M codes relating to Swiss machining. PREFERRED
• Ability to accurately read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• 2-year technical degree / certificate in machining or equivalent.
• 5+ years’ experience programing and operating CNC machines.
• 3+ years programing, setup and operating Swiss machines. familiarity with Tsugami machines appreciated

1. Must be able to stand, kneel, stoop, and bend for sustained periods (up to 3 hours at a time during 10-hour shifts).

2. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds from floor level to chest height.

3. Must be able to reach over and around equipment for short durations.

4. Must be able to raise hands above shoulder level repeatedly throughout the shift.

The work is primarily performed in a typical manufacturing environment. Wear safety attire or protective gear, when posted. may be exposed to distracting noise levels, may work within a few feet of other workers. For the most part ambient room temperatures and lighting as found in a typical office environment. Will be exposed to heat, cold and smells. Expect to work in confined spaces.
