We are looking for team members to join our Logan location in the Fishing Department. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about fishing and enjoys helping others get on the water with the right gear.
As a Fishing Sales Associate, you'll work with top fishing brands in the industry and use your hands-on experience to guide customers toward the best equipment for their needs-whether they're seasoned anglers or just getting started.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a positive, friendly, and knowledgeable customer experience in the fishing department.
- Share fishing experience and product knowledge to help customers select the right gear.
- Answer customer questions, resolve issues, and provide accurate pricing and sales information.
- Familiarize yourself with merchandise to deliver quick and accurate product recommendations.
- Process, locate, stock, organize, and maintain fishing merchandise.
- Maintain organized, attractive merchandise displays within the department.
- Stay up to date on new products, seasonal trends, and vendor offerings.
- Maintain a safe, clean working environment by following company procedures and guidelines.
- Contribute to overall team success by assisting with additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
Required
Extensive fishing experience with a strong overall knowledge base; fly fishing experience is preferred.Comfortable approaching customers and initiating friendly, engaging conversations.Ability to provide quick, accurate information regarding products, pricing, and promotions.Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills.Effective verbal communication skills and a customer-focused mindset.Ability to work well as part of a team while also being self-motivated.Maintains cleanliness, organization, and safety of the sales floor.Works with a sense of urgency, high energy, and a consistently positive attitude.Helpful
Prior fishing experience and a genuine passion for the sport; fly fishing experience preferred.Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and peak fishing seasons.Customer service experience; retail experience is a plus.Perks & Benefits
