Main Duties:

• This person will be responsible for painting all fabricated steel products (rails, beams, columns, stairs, etc.).
• Cleaning and preparing all metal surfaces to be painted by removal of dirt, grease, rust, scale and old paint contaminants while complying Company Safety Rules (including wearing Personal Protective Equipment) and OSHA standards.
• Match material in accordance with material data sheets.
• High school graduate or equivalent with 2+ years of experience in all facets of Painting.
• Must be able to wear required Personal protective equipment

Other Activities (as required):

• Support other personnel as required.
• Lifting 50lb concrete bags mixing concrete in wheelbarrow.
• General cleaning and yard maintenance.
• Loading and unloading trucks.
• Pickup and delivery of customer equipment, shop supplies, parts, etc.
• Handles paperwork accurately and acquires all signatures per processes.
• Shop priming experience for structural steel.
• Material shipping and receiving.
• Basic knowledge on how to read a measuring tape and take measurements.
• Basic knowledge of steel profiles.
• Forklift certified preferred.
• Operating overhead crane and rigging.
• Material stock check.
• Shop helper as required.
• Must have a basic understanding of standard power tools and possess the ability to read / follow simple instructions.

Pay: $16.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience
