Job Summary Details :
The leads are assigned a concourse and have to set up the incoming flights with the requested amount of wheelchairs that are requested. The PSA / wheelchair assistants transport the passengers off of the jetway and to their connections, etc. The leads are very important because they oversee the entire concourse ensuring that passengers that are waiting for their outbound flights are at the correct gate. Taking to the restroom, etc. but do not leave the concourse.
The Airline Passenger Assistant, also known as the Wheelchair Agent, fulfills airline passenger service obligations for passengers who require or request wheelchair assistance. Passenger services positions are very customer service-oriented and “tipping” is allowed and customary. Wheelchair Agents who provide extraordinary customer service are known to increase their earning potential between $25–$100 per week.
