American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) telemetry position requiring a CA license and strong cardiac care skills.

Job Details

  • Work in a 20-bed PCU / telemetry unit within a hospital setting,
  • Patient population includes post-cath lab, CHF, advanced heart failure, and high acuity cases,
  • Ratios up to 4 : 1 during winter surgical season,
  • Day shift, 3x12 hours, 07 : 00-19 : 30,
  • Required to work every other weekend,
  • Floating to other units within scope of practice may be required,
  • No on-call responsibilities,
  • Epic EMR experience preferred,

Job Requirements

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration,
  • Current AHA certifications required : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS,
  • Minimum 2 years of PCU or telemetry experience,
  • Strong arrhythmia recognition and management skills, especially with symptomatic Afib and bradycardia,
  • Experience titrating cardiac medications and managing post-cardiac cath and advanced heart failure patients,
  • Must be available to complete lab work within 3-5 days of offer acceptance,

    • Additional Information

  • Duties include titrating cardiac drips and managing patients with complex cardiac conditions,
  • Orientation includes required completion of non-billable e-learning modules,
  • Only one holiday request for time off will be considered during the contract,
  • Returning travelers must not have worked at the facility within the past year,
  • Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for travel pay rates,
  • Locals are accepted at a different pay rate,
