  • Self-Scheduled
  • Shift : 3rd Shift (7pm-7 : 30am)
  • FTE : 0.9 (12-hour shifts)
  • 2 Mondays & 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
  • 1 Weekend per 6-week schedule
  • 2 Holidays (1 Summer & 1 Winter)
  • RNs trained in ACLS, NIH, IV Ultrasound, and cross-trained to be Charge RN
  • Float Pool Registered Nurse - Night Shift

    Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center Milwaukee, WI

    Third Shift : 7 : 00 PM - 7 : 00 AM

    If you seek a night shift role that offers variety, challenge, and growth within one hospital, consider joining our Internal Flex Pool. Rotate between ED Boarding, Medical-Surgical, Telemetry, and ICU support units. Every shift presents new experiences and the chance to expand your clinical skills.

    What You'll Do :

  • Float between Med / Surg, Telemetry, ED Boarding, and ICU support units
  • Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a dynamic, collaborative environment
  • Adapt swiftly to diverse unit workflows while maintaining clinical excellence
  • What We're Looking For :

  • Experience : Minimum 18 months of Med / Surg or Telemetry RN experience ( 2 years preferred )
  • Flexibility : Ability to meet the scheduling requirements over 6 weeks
  • 2 Fridays
  • 2 Mondays
  • 1 Weekend
  • Training & Skills :

  • RNs receive training in :
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

  • NIHSS (Stroke Scale)
  • IV Ultrasound
  • Charge Nurse cross-training to enhance leadership skills

    Your responsibilities will include providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care using evidence-based practices, maintaining a therapeutic relationship with patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare team members. You will utilize clinical decision-making skills to ensure patient safety and satisfaction while actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.

    Licenses & Certifications :

    Registered Nurse license issued by the state where you practice and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

    Degrees :

    Completion of an accredited or approved Nursing program.

    Required Functional Experience :

    Typically requires 1 year of experience in clinical nursing.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Progression in providing holistic patient care and ability to respond to clinical situations
  • Proficient computer skills, including electronic mail and electronic medical record systems
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively and take initiative
  • Strong critical thinking and independent decision-making abilities
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Capacity to coordinate, collaborate, delegate, and build teams
  • Certification Addendum :

    Team members are required to meet annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.
