Certified Medical Records Coder

A company is looking for a Medical Records Technician (Coder-Outpatient and Inpatient).

Key Responsibilities

Assign codes to outpatient and inpatient services using various coding systems

Review health record documentation to abstract necessary medical data

Utilize computer systems to code, abstract, and transmit data to the national database

Required Qualifications, Training, and Education

U.S. Citizenship is required

One year of experience in medical terminology and coding, or an associate's degree in health information technology

Completion of an AHIMA approved coding program or equivalent training

Proficiency in English, both spoken and written

Possession of relevant coding certifications (e.g., AHIMA or AAPC certifications)
