We are looking for a skilled Business Analyst to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in bridging business needs with technical solutions, ensuring seamless collaboration between stakeholders, software engineers, and external system providers. The ideal candidate will excel in analyzing requirements, delivering high-quality solutions, and supporting business processes while contributing to system and workflow improvements.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather, draft, and validate business and functional requirements.
• Work with technical teams to design solutions that align with business objectives and IT strategies.
• Configure systems for business readiness, including workflows, templates, and setups.
• Partner with external vendors to coordinate core development efforts and ensure project deliverables.
• Create and execute test plans to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
• Identify opportunities for business process enhancements and propose value-adding solutions.
• Provide user support, troubleshoot issues, and manage incidents effectively.
• Develop project plans and assist in implementing change initiatives to meet business goals.
• Manage a backlog of change requests and oversee their timely delivery.
• Document knowledge, train users, and share expertise within the organization.
• Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a utility or commodity trading environment, preferably with knowledge of energy markets.
• Strong interest and experience in IT, software engineering, and application management.
• Proven ability to multitask and work under pressure, with excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Project Management, DevOps, Agile methodologies, and requirements engineering.
• Understanding of front-to-back system flows, trade lifecycles, and derivatives instruments.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, technology, or engineering discipline.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in French is a plus.
• Knowledge of business analysis, gap analysis, and Agile Scrum methodologies.
