Position Overview

At Foundation Building Materials (FBM) our CDL Drivers are essentialdelivering materials safely efficiently and with pride. Enjoy local routes daily home time competitive pay and a supportive culture built on safety and respect.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

• Vehicle Operation
• Safely operates company vehicles including up to 26 trucks in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
• Deliver materials to customer project sites on time providing excellent customer service
• Additional training such as Forklift and other specified equipment may be required
• Basic understanding and knowledge of the operation of a forklift and other equipment
• Delivery & Customer Service
• Unload materials at delivery locations and verify deliveries against packing slips
• Ensure deliveries are handled professionally and courteously always representing the company positively
• The ability to unload protect move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
• Basic understanding and knowledge of building materials
• Safety
• Adheres to all driving regulations based on state and / or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
• Maintain a clean safe and organized warehouse environment
• Follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
• Use proper lifting techniques
• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment safety shoes and clothing
• Communication
• Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company
• Training Requirements
• Attend and participate in all required company training programs
• Physical Job Requirements
• Frequent use of hands and arms for equipment operation grasping and manipulation
• Frequent driving or sitting in a truck forklift or other similar equipment for multiple hours a day
• Occasionally lift and / or move 80 lbs. and climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs
• Pushing and pulling carts loaded carts over various distances and surfaces. Some functions may be performed as a team
• Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles and must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment including but not limited to : dollies flat carts and rock carts
• Additional physical requirements may be needed as duties are assigned

The listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position; actual compensation may vary based on factors such as experience qualifications and cost of living in the assigned market. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
