Heres What You Need

High School Diploma or Equivalent required

RPhT - Registered Pharmacy Technician Upon Hire required

6 months experience in a Texas Health hospital pharmacy required

2 years of previous Retail Pharmacy experience previous prior authorization processing and prescription benefit billing experience highly preferred.

Sterile IV Certification highly preferred

Proficiency in written and verbal English language computers the ability to adapt to various software systems and basic math including conversions proportions ratios and algebra.

The ability to work alone and as part of a team.

Candidate will need to be self-motivated a team player an effective and timely communicator and have the ability to be proactive in their duties.

Candidate must be able to prioritize due to urgent & time sensitive tasks.

Candidate will complete prescription data entry & filling process along with selling the prescription through point of sale and arranging delivery / shipping to patient.

Candidates must have good phone etiquette.

This position requires the ability to perform essential duties such as lifting standing walking and moving equipment for the duration of the shift.

What You Will Do

Tasks specific to Tech II :

Functionality requiring additional competency above Tech I may require less supervision than a Tech I

Autonomous responsibility either with record keeping or as a single point of contact outside the department

Advanced technology expertise and ownership

Delegated functions of pharmacy leadership (manager or lead technicians)

Timely and accurate preparation delivery to the nursing units / appropriate departments & storage of medications including (when appropriate) the use of technology to do so varies by location.

Ensuring accuracy of ones own work as well as the maintenance of required competencies and other documentation. Must reflect consistently departmental quality improvement and patient safety standards programs and initiatives. 10%

Ongoing professional development and growth leads by example perpetuates accountability manages own time.

Communicate effectively develop positive working relationships and role model teamwork that reflects the Texas Health Promise Behaviors. Trains new employees on routine tasks under the direction of designated personnel.

Manages own time and shares the responsibility for minimizing pharmaceutical costs (including wastage) and discovering new process efficiencies. Validates competency completion for new employees.

Work location : 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort. Worth TX 76104

Work hours : 32 hours (8am-5pm) Monday-Friday and will work from the Retail Pharmacy or designated Provider offices with the potential to become remote in the future.
