This position is responsible for provision of Advanced Practice Provider services to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. The position will work as part of a care team at the UNLV Health Internal Medicine clinic. Our patient care model includes faculty, residents, and students.
Services provided by the APP can include diagnosing patients, ordering laboratory tests, prescribing medication and managing health conditions through evaluation and education. The APP may provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and assessment services to patients in the hospital and office settings. Responsible for managing acute and chronic conditions. Provides education, disease prevention, and pre-operative and post-operative instruction. Ability to see patients independently, as well as in collaboration with physician. This position requires the ability to work closely with physicians and other clinicians in a team based approach to patient care.
