Summary :

The Forklift Operator is responsible for accurately loading / unloading finished goods according to company policies as well as ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery at all times.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Responsible for ensuring Receiving and Shipping procedures are implemented and continuously adhered to, per written procedures.
  • Responsible for the rotation of finished goods in inventory to ensure inventory is used on a FIFO basis.
  • Communicate with Warehouse Manager as to the condition and quality of incoming materials and potential issues relating to performance of production and plant warehouse receiving.
  • Assist with inventory of finished goods and reconciling discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the preparation of year-end inventory.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized and safe work area at all times.
  • Responsible for operating forklift and other machinery in a safe & professional manner.
  • Responsible for accurate completion of receiving and shipping paperwork.

    • Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED is preferred (not required)
  • 1-3 months related experience and / or training preferred
  • Bakery experience is a plus
