Valid and unrestricted medical license to practice in any U.S. state or territory. Experience in both outpatient and inpatient gastroenterological care. Overview : The VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Gastroenterologist to join our dedicated team. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive gastroenterological care to our nation s veterans and contribute to improving their health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care for veterans with a variety of gastrointestinal disorders.
- Perform routine and advanced gastroenterological procedures, including endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients, ensuring continuity of care.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Engage in health promotion and disease prevention activities for the patient population.
- Participate in the training and supervision of medical residents and fellows, contributing to their professional development.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with VHA guidelines and policies.
