The following and other duties may be assigned as necessary :

• You must understand and execute AAA service standards.
• Provide friendly, fast, and helpful great guest service to all external and internal guests.
• Follow recipes to prepare and / or cook food to meet Jamul Casino Culinary standards or as directed.
• Measure and convert recipes without affecting quality.
• Accepts direction during day-to-day operations to ensure culinary standards and operational guidelines including kitchen areas, food preparation activities and facilities are met.
• Efficient preparation of all food related items based on established recipes and plating procedures for both batch and individual plated with attention to maintaining appropriate volume, quality, cleanliness, and attractiveness.
• Knowledge / understanding of kitchen equipment to include safe operations and regulation of temperatures for proficient cooking times and temperatures.
• Must adhere to regulatory, department and company policies.
• Partners with culinary leadership to work as a team to ensure coordinated workflow during shift to meet business demands and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Must be familiar with and have exposure to prep list.
• Take daily inventory of product and effectively communicate with lists for ordering and prep lists.
• Exhibit intermediate knife skills, sharpening.
• Assist in operation of other food and beverage venues as needed.
• Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings as directed.
• Properly maintains, cleans, and sanitizes equipment and work areas to meet departmental standards or as directed by leads and chefs.
• Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
• Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements. This includes purchasing and wearing slip resistant safety shoes when performing all job duties.
• Assist and support culinary leadership to train and develop culinary team.
• Assist and support Culinary Leadership to ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met.
• Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned.
• FIFO standards, labeling and dating all products to ensure freshness.
• Maintaining working knowledge of all equipment and food products.
• Food Preparation : Assist with the preparation of ingredients such as chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and
• Basic Cooking Tasks : Follow instructions from senior kitchen staff to cook dishes, such as grilling, boiling, frying, or baking, ensuring food is prepared according to recipe specifications.
• Cleaning & Organization : Keep workstations clean and organized, ensuring all cooking equipment, utensils, and surfaces are sanitized. Follow proper food storage procedures.
• Food Safety & Sanitation : Adhere to health and safety regulations for food handling, storage, and kitchen cleanliness. Ensure all food safety protocols are followed.
• Assisting Senior Staff : Support senior cooks, chefs, and kitchen managers by completing basic cooking tasks and preparing ingredients in a timely manner.
• Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff, demonstrating strong communication and teamwork skills to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain a clean and consistent attendance record.
• Perform other job related and compatible duties as assigned
