Internship Program Overview

Our 2026 Summer Internship Program is a paid 10-week internship program, scheduled to begin on June 8, 2026. Interns are expected to work full-time throughout the summer.

Summer interns will join an intern class consisting of undergraduate and graduate students to work on exciting projects in one of EDC's many dynamic departments. Summer Interns will also participate in training programs, networking events, and other professional development opportunities over the course of the program.

Department Overview

The Budget Department is NYCEDC's fiscal resource, partnering with NYCEDC departments and City agencies to lead in financial planning, analysis, and accountability with a commitment to service, strategic investments, and transparency.

Intern Responsibilities

• Perform data validation and clean-up on data sets
• Run financial reports on a weekly basis
• Compile data on current and historic capital and expense projects
• Assist Budget Analysts with the preparation of the tri-annual capital and quarterly expense
• Assist Budget Analysts in monitoring project financial statuses by reviewing revenues, expenditures, and payments made to date
• Assist the Expense and Revenue team on 2025 Fiscal Year End deliverables
• Assist in the preparation of the Capital Plan
• Ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications & Requirements

Salary Range : $20 - $25 USD
