Job Title : Mechatronics Technician

Job Description

Working under minimal supervision, this multicraft trade position involves installing, servicing, and repairing all manufacturing equipment. The role requires troubleshooting and technical expertise on a variety of complex electrical and mechanical equipment and control systems. The technician will be responsible for assigned projects and developmental projects for engineering and plant maintenance support. The role involves making advanced repairs and adjustments to mechanical and electrical devices, and successfully troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair all manufacturing equipment.
• Perform troubleshooting and provide technical expertise on complex electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Handle assigned projects and support engineering and plant maintenance.
• Make advanced repairs and adjustments to mechanical and electrical devices.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.
• Work on equipment including mechanical and hydraulic brake and clutch systems.
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

Work Environment

This position is set in a manufacturing environment where high-end office furniture is produced. The role is available for the second shift starting at 3 PM and the third shift starting at 10 PM. The job requires standing constantly, frequent bending and twisting, and the ability to occasionally lift and carry weights as specified.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Athens, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $34.00 / hr.
