ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform oil and filter changes
• Rotate, balance, and inspect tires
• Check and top off fluids (engine oil, coolant, brake, transmission, washer fluid, etc.)
• Inspect vehicle components such as brakes, belts, hoses, wipers, lights, and batteries
• Complete multi-point vehicle inspections and report findings to service advisors
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures
• Accurately document work performed and recommended services
• Assist senior technicians as needed
• Provide professional, courteous service to customers at all times

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• Basic mechanical knowledge or automotive training preferred
• Ability to learn dealership processes and manufacturer standards
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Customer service-oriented and friendly demeanor
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as a team

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILLITIES:

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses heavy equipment and exposure to noise, fumes, and automotive chemicals.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds independently; majority of lifting from knee to shoulder heights; other lifting required from various levels
• Requires standing for extended period with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling in an environment that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance
• May requires some driving and typing. Required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles
• Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
