Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide acute, urgent, and emergency care as the primary provider at the sole health center in the area
  • Assess and manage emergent cases, coordinating transfers by sea or air to a sister hospital as needed
  • Deliver comprehensive care in a facility serving a broad patient population
  • Maintain accurate and thorough patient records
  • Collaborate with medical staff for optimal patient outcomes
  • Adhere to facility protocols and clinical guidelines

    • Additional Information

  • Active Physician Assistant license in New York required
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and DEA certification required
  • Acute care, urgent care, or emergency medicine experience preferred
