[job_card.job_description]Behavioral Health Float Pool Psych RN Nights & EOW – 36hrs. Unit Name : Behavioral Health Float Pool – Psych RN. Brief Unit Description : This position will float to various mental health units throughout the hospital (Pedi, Adult & Geri Psych). Years of Experience Required : 2 years minimum. Skill Sets Required : Trauma informed, patient-centered, and verbally capable of de-escalating patients. Proficient in using automatic medication dispensing system (Omni Cell); proficient in electronic health records documentation, preferably EPIC; proficient in the use of psychotropic medications and side effects. Clinician to Patient Ratio : Unit specific. Pedi Psych is : 1 to 3. Adult & Geri Psych is 1 : 7 or 8. Patient Population : Children Ages 3-17, Adults 18 – 65, and Geriatric Adults 66+. EMR (Charting System) : EPIC. Floating Required : Yes, to all behavioral health areas within the Epstein Units and AMHU. Rotating Shifts Required : Yes, for Day Rotate (7a-7p, 11a-11p & 7p-7a). Rotation not required for Night Shift. Massachusetts RN License. AHA BLS Certification. Certification in De-escalation. Nights & EOW 36 hours per week Unit Name : Behavioral Health Float Pool – Psych RN. AVADE training offered on-site as well as lead EKG training. Knowledge of the Massachusetts Department of Mental Health rules and regulations.
