Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Director of Accounting to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $, to $, per year.
Job Responsibilities:
Oversee the accuracy of statutory filings and ensure financial records comply with relevant accounting standards.
Guide the implementation of new accounting policies for investment-related activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to apply regulatory updates and maintain compliance.
Lead technical accounting research and stay informed on emerging regulatory changes and industry discussions.
Manage the submission of securities filings and ensure proper classification under regulatory guidelines.
Requirements:
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional certification is preferred.
Minimum of 8–10+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on investment and statutory reporting.
Hands-on experience managing teams and overseeing complex accounting operations.
Familiarity with investment accounting systems and regulatory databases such as SVO.
Qualifications:
A deep understanding of statutory accounting principles and insurance industry regulations.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial reporting and compliance.
Excellent communication skills for working with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting professionals across multiple locations.
Experience with Bermuda statutory accounting and permitted practices is a plus.
