Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1+ years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A rewarding opportunity is available for a skilled Visually Impaired Teacher to support K-12 students in Santa Cruz, CA. This role involves working directly with students who have vision impairments, providing specialized instruction and acmodations to foster their academic growth and independence throughout the school year. The position is offered on a contract basis for the current school year.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the needs of students with visual impairments.
• Deliver specialized instruction using adaptive techniques and assistive technology.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure appropriate classroom acmodations.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
• Provide training and guidance on vision-related issues to school personnel and family members.
