General Manager – Distribution Center
Location : Aurora, CO
Employment Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire
Compensation : $120,000–$135,000 annually
Job Store Staffing is partnering with a mission-driven, consumer products organization to identify a strategic and hands-on General Manager to lead operations at a high-volume Distribution Center in the Denver metro area.
Running a distribution center is much like orchestrating a living ecosystem—where people, product, process, and performance must move in sync. What You Will Do
Operational Leadership
- Lead all day-to-day planning, organizing, and execution across Distribution Center operations
- Manage and develop Area Managers and frontline leaders while fostering a strong, engaged team culture
- Address employee and customer concerns with professionalism and clarity
- Ensure warehouse operations align with broader supply chain and logistics objectives
Strategic & Financial Management
Own site-level performance, including budget, revenue, and operational targetsDrive cost optimization through Lean principles and process improvementsMaintain strong financial stewardship with full P&L responsibilityInventory & Capacity Planning
Partner cross-functionally on forecasting, replenishment, and inventory strategiesSupport SOP development, capacity planning, and inventory placement initiativesImprove inventory visibility, accuracy, and throughput using data and technologyContinuous Improvement & Compliance
Champion safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency initiativesLead or support automation efforts, layout redesigns, and system enhancementsPrepare and analyze operational performance reports to guide decision-makingCross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with internal stakeholders to achieve delivery, cost, and quality goalsParticipate in network optimization projects, including routing and layout efficiencyNegotiate and maintain effective relationships with outbound transportation partnersWhat You Bring
5+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations5+ years of people leadership experience in a supervisory or managerial roleHands-on knowledge of Fulfillment, Shipping, Receiving, and Warehousing operationsA true operational GM mindset—entrepreneurial, curious, and improvement-drivenStrong analytical skills with experience managing KPIs and operational metricsProven ability to build and lead high-performing, collaborative teamsComfort navigating ambiguity and developing clear strategies and contingency plansAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environmentProficiency with WMS, ERP, TMS, and related systemsPreferred (not required) :
