Network Technician (Consultant)

Our client is looking for a Systems / Network Techncian to install the following equipment in one 32U Startech equipment cabinet :

1 APC UPS, 1 APC PDU, 4 Cisco switches, 1 Palo firewalls, 2 Dell servers and one NetApp SAN

We also need this person to interconnect about 10 PCs and 3 Meraki APs to the Cisco switches and interconnect two 1 Gbps ISP circuits to the Palo firewall. This person will need to work with the cabling contractor that will run Cat-6 cable throughout the office, the MSP engineers that will be responsible for configurating the equipment, the MSP project manager, and the client IT team that has overall project responsibility.

We estimate an initial block of 25-50 hours to help support the initial install, followed by an unknown number of hours to finalize the testing, cutover and support the PC deployment. Post cutover, there may be an opportunity to provide some time to perform onsite work for preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and deploying new IT equipment or additional PCs for new staff.
