Applied Chiller Service Technician

We’re hiring an Applied Chiller Service Technician in Los Angeles, CA to service, repair, and troubleshoot complex commercial HVAC systems with a focus on chillers.

• Support client operations with minimal downtime and high reliability

Responsibilities

• Service and repair air-cooled and water-cooled chillers (screw, centrifugal, magnetic bearing)

• Perform advanced diagnostics, teardowns, and overhauls

• Support startups, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance

• Communicate clearly with clients on issues and solutions

• Maintain accurate records and follow safety and OEM procedures

Requirements
Must-Haves

• 12+ years of commercial mechanical HVAC experience

• 5+ years hands-on with applied systems, especially chillers

• Skilled with air-cooled, water-cooled, screw, and centrifugal units

• Based in the Los Angeles area with a strong work history

• Excellent troubleshooting, mechanical, and communication skills

Nice-to-Haves

• Manufacturer training or certifications (York, Trane, Carrier, Daikin, etc.)

• Centrifugal teardown experience

• Industry certifications (EPA Universal, OSHA 10/30)

• Experience with controls or BAS integration
