[job_card.job_description]Medical, DKA, Cardiac, GI, Renal. Sepsis, Trauma, Surgery. This is the dedicated Stroke Unit. 30 Beds. 1 : 4 Nurse to Patient Ratio. Must have current nursing license with Nursys verification within 30 days prior to start. Completion of Ascension Pharmacology Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years. Completion of Ascension Medical Surgical Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start, updated every 3 years. Completion of Ascension Core Competencies including HIPAA, Joint Commission -NPSG, OSHA Topics within a year of start, updated yearly. Completion of Ascension EKG Exam with minimum 80% score prior to start. Completion of Ascension Skills Checklist within one year of start; updated annually for specialty. Documentation of required immunizations and health screenings including MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza Vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, Fit Test, 2 Step PPD or IGRA, Health Statement, and Positive PPD with negative chest X-ray if applicable. Completion of background checks including Criminal Background Check, EPLS, Employment Verification, and Professional References. Completion of Ascension Onboarding Requirements Education Attestation and Nursing Contract Worker Onboarding. Contract length is 13 weeks. Dedicated Stroke Unit. 1 : 4 Nurse to Patient Ratio. Ascension Resume required for submission. Influenza Vaccine Exemption / Declination accepted with mask requirement during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31). Ascension Unit Specific Checklist optional for onboarding but must be uploaded by unit leader within a week. Ascension Badge Photo required prior to start.
