CNC Programmer

Aegis is seeking a CNC Programmer to join our client's organization in Glendale Heights, IL. This position is a 6 month contract to hire role. The position is on 2nd shift (2- pm). The ideal candidate has the below experience :

• GED, High school diploma.
• 3+ years of experience programming CNC machines
• CNC Programming experience- majority of the job
• Experience programming in Mitsubishi control system (most similar to a FANUC control system)
• MasterCAM Programming experience – ideally someone that has created CNC Programs from scratch.
• Solidworks experience- if someone knows MasterCAM, then they will know Solidworks because that’s the CAD software you need when running MasterCAM.
• Experience with G&M codes
• Ability and willingness to Setup / Operate the CNC machinery. This will be more of a willingness because if you can program the machinery, you can setup and run it too. Handful of programmers out there that look at Setup / Operating as a step down and something that is beneath them. We can’t send that type of candidate.
• Able to work 2nd shift (2 : pm- pm)- 8 hour and min shift.
