A respected, growth-oriented restaurant group is seeking a Sous Chef to join the leadership team of one of its high-volume Chicago concepts. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven culinary professional to step into a fast-paced, scratch-kitchen environment with strong systems, established support, and room for advancement within a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution and high standards of quality
Lead, train, and develop BOH team members with a hands-on, collaborative approach
Support menu execution, prep systems, and station management in a high-volume environment
Maintain food safety, sanitation, and compliance standards
Assist with ordering, inventory management, and cost-control initiatives
Partner closely with the Executive Chef and management team to elevate the guest experience
Qualifications :
3–5+ years of culinary leadership experience in high-volume, full-service restaurants
Strong line skills and a passion for mentorship and team development
Proven ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining organization and consistency
Knowledge of cost control, ordering, and BOH systems
Positive leadership style with a commitment to excellence and hospitality
