, The National Center for College & Career, invites nominations and applications for the position of President. ConnectED partners with community leaders to design and implement comprehensive systems of high-quality college and career pathways designed to maximize the potential for student success.
Founded in 2006, ConnectED is committed to ending cycles of poverty. We do this by working with students, teachers, and districts to create programs of study that are rigorous, meaningful, relevant, and that have pathways to career and college success. We support communities to challenge the status quo and to make learning opportunities more real, relevant, and engaging for young people. Simultaneously, through our partnerships and the pathways developed, we help students see possibilities for their futures.

Reporting to the , the President is responsible for shaping and implementing the organization’s mission and vision. The President is expected to lead and influence our organization toward favorable growth and to design and direct strategies that support and enhance our organizational impact and contribution to the field.
Key responsibilities for the position include providing leadership to all staff, establishing business goals, advising the board of directors on organizational activities, managing and streamlining daily operations, representing the organization in high-profile endeavors, and executing special business projects. This position guides the organization in promoting our mission and objectives; maintaining positive relationships with clients, partners, and board members; and achieving organizational goals and fiscal solvency. The President also leads an innovative and dedicated team of 18 who bring diverse and extensive experience from classroom teaching, educational administration, instructional design, educational nonprofits, and finance.
This position works closely with ConnectED’s , which is composed of leaders from education, law, and business who are committed to preparing students for college and career pathways. The board takes an active role in guiding future direction and strategic planning. In addition, the President forges collaboration with external partners. ConnectED is constantly learning with and from our and the clients we serve.
Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience. The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $260,000 with comprehensive benefits. ConnectED is based in Berkeley, CA, and the President could work remotely or relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area. In either case, periodic travel is an expected component of the role.
