The Team : TheAI Modeling and Researchteam is part of the AI Org, which is Geico’s strategic investment with the mission to transform Geico into an AI-first company. AI org is led by Vice President, Head of AI. AI Org is in the Technology, Product and AI (TPA) org at Geico. TPA is led by the Chief Technology,Productand AI Officer, who reports to the CEO of Geico.
The Role Purpose : We are looking fora highly experiencedDistinguished Engineerwhohasdeep insights into ML modeling forcomputer visionand can leadmajor technical decisions on how the companycan buildcutting-edgeproductspowered by industry leading computer vision technologies. The candidate should build close partnerships with product,engineeringandoperationleadership across the company. This role will report directly to the Senior Director ofAI Modeling and Research.
Responsibilities :
To be successful in this role, you will need :
Lead the strategy, design, and delivery ofcomputer visionsystemsfor the whole company, enablingcomputer vision capabilitiesfor Geico’s businesses.
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define technical roadmaps aligned with business goals.
Architect scalableand reliable model ecosystems for all types ofcomputer visionuse cases.
Establish and drive best practices inMLmodeling, dataorganization, model management, and observability.
Help the leadership team mentorand grow a high-performing team of engineers focused on MLmodelingfor computer vision.
Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
Continuously improvingsystem performance, scalability, and user experience.
Providestate-of-the-art consultation tothe Head of AI and Chief AI Officer with regard tocomputer visiontechnologies.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s orMaster’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, orAI / ML.Advanced degreeincomputer visionis a plus.
15+ years ofhands-onexperience in AI / MLin a production environment.
10+ yearshands-onexpertisein AI / ML forcomputer vision.
Successfulleadership experience inleading the technicaldecisonsforteamsof size >
= 15.
Strong communicationand collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.
5+ years experiences in building cross-functional partnerships withproduct and business.
Annual Salary
$210,000.00 - $350,000.00
The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate / annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate’s work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
