Job Summary
:
The Quality Inspector is responsible for inspecting parts for defects. These inspections will be done with the assistance of an overhead crane if required. Daily tasks also include movement of material through the warehouse with the use of a counterbalance forklift. Entry of material into the computer for shipment tracking and transfers along with email will require some basic computer knowledge. The Quality Inspector will maintain a safe and clean work area by ensuring they clean their area as needed.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Inspect material in various stages prior to shipment.
- Enter material into the computer.
- Move material to various locations within the warehouse.
- Ensure proper material handling to meet quality standards.
- Utilize overhead crane operation
- Works efficiently to achieve or exceed performance targets for velocity, quality and cost.
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals.
- Operate (become certified for) a counter balance forklift.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; Technical or Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school (preferred).
- Advanced computer skills, Microsoft (including: Email, Excel, PowerPoint, Graphics, and Routine Database Activity etc.).
- Previous experience operating power industrial truck.
- Minimum of two years of experience handling material.

- Pay Range: $16 - $18 per hour
- Shift and Schedule: 1st Shift | 7 AM - 3:30 PM
- Location: 1601 N Main Street, Morton, IL 61550
