[job_card.job_description]About Crossroads Crossroads Church is a growing multi-site, interdenominational church. Our sites are currently located in Ohio and Kentucky, with plans to expand to additional cities. We also have an online presence that serves thousands of people who aren’t located near one of our physical sites. We believe the story of Jesus' redemption is the greatest story ever told, and that's why we embrace creativity, adventure, authenticity, and tenacity to share this story with the world. Our desire is to model our staff and church community after the church in Revelation, where people of all nations, tribes, and tongues are worshiping and working together. We’re not there yet, but it’s what we’re working toward with every hire and every person who walks through our doors. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Edit a wide variety of projects as assigned by the Lead Video Editor. Work collaboratively and incorporate feedback from clients and contributors. Starting with a treatment and footage, source and combine music, SFX, and other elements to bring a concept to life. Complete work within given deadlines. Education Requirements High School or equivalent College preferred Experience / Skills Requirement 3+ years of video editing experience. Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro or similar NLE (Avid / FCP / Resolve). Proficiency with After Effects is a plus. Familiarity with graphics software (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) is a plus. Proficient in data management and review and approval workflows such as Frame.io / Dropbox Replay. Creative problem solving. Strong relational skills and experience with working in a team environment. Physical Requirements : Must be able to walk up to 5 miles while performing duties, including standing, climbing, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Must be able to lift 25 and 50 lbs. Schedule / Travel Requirements Typically 9a-5p M-F with the exception of occasional assistance on shoots or mandatory “all-hands on deck” weekends i.e. Easter, Super Bowl, Christmas, etc. Crossroads Staff Qualities Qualities all staff teammates should exhibit : Mission Oriented : Committed to the Crossroads mission and expectations in the staff “I Promise” document, including using the Bible as the ultimate standard of truth, practicing spiritual disciplines, tithing, and pursuing personal purity. Job Summary The Video Editor role is responsible for editing video projects in a wide range of formats including (but not limited to) : multi-camera interviews, narrative and performance music videos, and long format documentary pieces. They need to be able to work well with a team and be an effective creative collaborator with clients, Creative Directors, Producers, and Directors of Photography. We are looking for a balance of technical proficiency with artistic vision and taste. You must be well organized, attentive to detail, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines. We are looking for someone who has editorial experience and is driven to continue honing their craft.
