[job_card.job_description]Assists, as directed, in the preparation of food portions according to planned menu and tested recipe, and prepares the cafeteria serving lines accordingly. Replenishes food service lines regularly during each serving period. Maintains the highest standards of safety and cleanliness in the cafeteria and kitchen. Maintains the trash and garbage collection area in a neat and sanitary fashion. Removes used dishes and assists in the clearing of counters, tables, and furnishings in the cafeteria and kitchen. Performs related duties as required including duties at special functions. Performs such other tasks and assumes such other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. Ability to work in a friendly manner with coworkers and students. General knowledge of the best methods of preparing and cooking foods in large quantities; ability to adjust recipes to the quantity required. Ability to perform job and communicate in a noisy environment. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and continuously required to stand. The employee will frequently bend or twist at the neck and trunk while performing the duties of this job. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee continuously uses hand strength to grasp tools. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds such as milk crates, frozen foods, canned food, etc. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in temperatures above 100 and occasionally will walk on slippery surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud to where you have to raise your voice to be heard. The employee has a greater than average risk of getting a minor injury such as a cut or burn while performing the duties of the job. The employee is continuously required to meet deadlines with severe time constraints and interact with the public and other staff.

Position Title : Child Nutrition Program Worker
Job Goal : To serve the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness.
Qualifications :
- Possess High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Reports To : Child Nutrition Program Manager
Salary : To be determined commensurate with local salary matrix, credentials, and experience.
