Night Shift Loader

Chief Buildings is seeking a night shift loader to join the Chief team. This position requires proper packaging, labeling finished products, and loading items onto flatbed or enclosed container trailers. The loader needs to be organized and have good planning skills to successfully load trailers efficiently and with maximum capacity. Loads will be done to meet all DOT specifications.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Safety is a relentless journey at Chief Buildings. Candidates must follow proven safety practices, look out for teammates, and seek improvements that will enhance our safety culture.
  • Performs all duties in safe and efficient manner, utilizing required safety equipment. Keeps work area neat and orderly. Reports unsafe conditions to supervisors.
  • Maintains compliance to all quality control procedures and standards.
  • Maximizes quantity of assigned work completed.
  • Properly completes all routine paperwork and computer data entry related to the job responsibilities.
  • Capable of working with minimal supervision.

Education :

  • High School graduate or GED preferred

    • Qualifications and Skill Requirements :

  • Requires knowledge of shipping / receiving processes, material handling equipment including; forklifts, overhead cranes, and industrial shag tractor / trailer combinations.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Basic understanding of hand tools including tape measures and calculators.
  • Ability to interpret drawings and other available information to help in calculating weights and utilization of proper lifting devices.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and working at heights of 14 feet.
  • Good communication skills required.

    • Shift :

  • Nights- 7 : 30pm-6 : 00am
