Job Title: Emergency Medical Technician

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate each emergency call situation to determine the best course of action following established Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment and techniques, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, oxygen and suction devices, and IV fluids.
• Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing reassurance and clarity about the care being administered.
• Lead the Paramedic team on-site, taking charge of the situation and coordinating unit management as necessary.
• Drive the ambulance during 911 emergency responses.
• Collaborate with other healthcare and emergency personnel in a professional and respectful manner.
• Engage in community outreach programs to foster strong community relations and promote AMR's positive image.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid State Paramedic License.
• Valid State Driver's License.
• Ambulance Driver's License.
• Medical Examiners Card.
• Current CPR certification only accepted from the American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR with AED.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS or PHTLS.
• Driving record must comply with company policy.
• Successful completion of a Physical Agility Test.
• Some experience in the healthcare field is preferred.

Pay Range: $39.30 - $58.52 per hour (This rate applies to a 12-hour shift)
