Introduction

The Azure Cloud Operations Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure cloud infrastructure and services. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, scalability, and security of Azure-based applications and systems. The Engineer will also play a key role in migrating and securing new client data across the platform.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Applicants must be able to work directly on W2.
  • Proficiency with Azure infrastructure, services, and administration.
  • Strong experience with infrastructure as code.
  • Ability to manage cloud deployments securely and efficiently.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with Terraform is a plus.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices.
  • Experience with AWS is considered a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud migration projects.
  • Relevant certifications such as Azure Administrator are highly desired.

    • Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage cloud resources using Azure.
  • Ensure the security, reliability, and performance of Azure-based infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to support application hosting and integration.
  • Migrate client data and workloads securely to Azure, ensuring compliance and performance standards.
  • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform, ARM templates, and Azure DevOps pipelines.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot Azure environments, responding to incidents and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to automation and orchestration efforts to streamline cloud operations.
  • Provide after-hours support via Pager Duty as needed within a rotation.
