Objective

The Logistics Coordinate supports the planning, coordination, and execution of product shipments from production to the end-user. They are responsible for supporting logistics and ensuring that shipments are managed efficiently, safely, and within budget. A Logistics Coordinator supervises shipments, schedules routes, tracks orders, coordinates with warehouse workers and maintains accurate records. This role requires strong analytical skills, supply chain management expertise, and the ability to coordinate logistics operations effectively.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate and monitor shipments from production to the end-user.
• Schedule daily and weekly routes
• Track orders using functional systems (e.g. barcodes and tracking software)
• Coordinate with Warehouse to ensure proper storage and distribution of products.
• Ensure shipping documents are properly filed.
• Keep organized records of shipments, schedules, and complete orders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation.
• Sourcing for new projects/manufacturers
• Manufacturer communications
• Manage and order branded packaging supplies.
• Stay up to date with safety regulations.
• Supports Logistics Manager with departmental duties and support other departments.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Proven work experience as a Logistic Coordinator, or similar role
• Knowledge of supply chain management
• Experience with all transportation methods, Ocean, Air, FTL, LTL, OTR, Rail
• Experience with monitoring Lift Reports and TEU tracking.
• Experience preparing and tracking orders.
• Familiarity with logistics software, like Freightview and 3PLink
• Excellent organizational skills
• Problem-solving abilities

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• BS in Supply Chain, Logistics or relevant field is a plus, or applicable experience in lieu of degree.
