Payroll Processing Position

The New York State Senate is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to fill a Payroll Processing position to support the New York State Senate Payroll Department.

The primary responsibilities include :

• Employment verifications, including the New York State Department of Labor inquiries
• Configuring payroll transactions that are received from Personnel daily
• Input payroll into Senate Financial Management System (SFMS)
• Review output transactions for proper codes for files
• Input payroll into "Payserv," as needed
• Review check registers biweekly for payroll changes
• Reconcile checks
• Field telephone calls
• Various general office duties

The salary range is $40,000 to $45,000, commensurate with experience and education. This is an in-person position based in Albany, NY.
