Ag 1 Source is looking for a "the go to person" for a privately owned mechanic shop that supports four ag businesses.

What you will be doing:

• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on equipment to ensure effective performance
• Maintains maintenance records for equipment
• Orders and installs replacement parts on equipment
• Quickly and efficiently assess vehicles and/or machinery to accurately diagnose and repair issues
• Maintains records of repair work performed
• Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies
• Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on equipment
• Building maintenance as needed
• Adheres to company work safety policies
• Performs other duties as assigned

A successful candidate for this Lead Mechanic and Technician job will possess the following:

• Some vocational or community college with related coursework or equivalent experience, required. Mechanical certification preferred
• Must have basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems and have the ability to troubleshoot such systems
• Ability to work with multiple priorities and constant interruptions
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant demands and shifting of priorities
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
• Superior communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to be responsive and highly efficient with relaying information
• Excellent computer skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Detail oriented
• Technical/Specialized training in automotive technology
• Experience with the John Deere Service Advisor software preferred

Compensation: Based on experience, but could be $100K
