We are looking for a detail-oriented Patient Registration Processor to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Liverpool, New York. This role is integral to ensuring accurate and efficient patient registration processes within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities :
- Accurately input and scan patient information into the system while maintaining compliance with organizational standards.
- Perform thorough patient registration, ensuring all required information is documented correctly.
- Apply coding principles, including ICD-10, and validate medical necessity for procedures.
- Maintain and organize requisition records in alignment with policy guidelines.
- Communicate professionally with patients and staff to address inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Adapt to shifting workloads and assist with additional administrative tasks as needed.
- Utilize patient registration systems, order entry platforms, and billing software effectively.
- Ensure all data entry and administrative duties are performed with precision and minimal supervision.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a clinical laboratory or healthcare administrative role is preferred.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including patient registration and billing systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage diplomatically with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, including diagnostic and therapeutic language, is advantageous.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to perform tasks accurately under minimal supervision.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with data entry, scanning software, and healthcare-related processes.
