Coding Specialist III

A company is looking for a Coding Specialist III, responsible for coding vascular surgery cases.

Key Responsibilities

Review and translate patient medical records into codes for insurance claims processing

Provide technical guidance to medical staff on coding issues and ensure compliance with guidelines

Conduct peer reviews and audits of clinical documentation to validate coding accuracy for reimbursement

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Medical Billing and Coding preferred

2-3 years of medical coding experience required

In-depth knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems

Strong understanding of coding guidelines and industry best practices

Ability to work independently and manage complex coding situations
