Behavioral Health Technician

This position will work at our location in Boulder, CO - it is not a remote position.

Choice House is a 12-Step based residential treatment community for men for substance abuse and addiction therapy. The program is 90 days and provides a safe environment for men to build community, find meaning and develop a life in recovery from substances.

Behavioral Health Technicians perform services involving milieu management, ensuring daily program schedule adherence, planning and implementation of recreational, therapeutic and educational services.

Job Duties Include:

• Facilitates individual and group therapeutic activities including coaching, milieu management, and case management.
• Provides feedback to the clinical team in regard to clients level of motivation, participation in group activities and milieu interactions
• Upholds program rules, guidelines and policies and assists clients in following all rules, guidelines and policies.
• Provides transportation to and from client appointments
• Helps to assesses, collaborate and coordinate clients discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the clinical team.
• Obtains urine drug test specimens and breathalyzer tests
• Maintain safety of the milieu at all times. This includes awareness of client location and high-risk situations
• Maintain daily program schedule and special events schedule
• Document shift summary reports and sends via email
• Follow all requirements when dispensing and/or providing medication to clients
• Performs light janitorial duties
• Performs bed checks per shift requirement
