Our Customer Advocates will then either deliver the purchased vehicle to our customer's driveway using one of our kick-ass one car haulers, or they will meet our customers at one of our amazing coin-operated Vending Machines.

About the team and position

As a Vehicle Safety & Emissions Specialists, you will be responsible for inspecting vehicles to ensure they meet quality and safety standards, conducting state-required emissions testing, maintaining an organized lot, and detailing / cleaning vehicles to prepare them for customer deliveries. This role focuses on detailed vehicle checks, documentation, and compliance with state regulations to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory adherence, without direct customer interaction. You will be required to work primarily outdoors on a vehicle lot, with exposure to weather conditions. The shift for this position will be 4x10 (7am-6pm) and one weekend day will be required.

What you'll be doing

• Vehicle Inspections : Perform thorough inspections of vehicles to verify quality and safety standards, including checks on brakes, tires, lights, and other critical components.
• Emissions Testing : Conduct state-mandated emissions tests in accordance with local regulations, ensuring vehicles meet environmental compliance standards.
• Vehicle Detailing / Cleaning : Clean and detail vehicles (interior and exterior) to ensure they are in pristine condition for customer deliveries, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, and cleaning windows and surfaces.
• Documentation : Record inspection and emissions test results accurately, reporting any defects or non-compliance issues to supervisors.
• Lot Organization : Move, park, and organize vehicles on the lot to maintain an orderly and accessible inventory.
• Safety Compliance : Ensure all vehicles meet safety requirements, identifying and flagging any issues for further inspection.
• Regulatory Adherence : Stay updated on state emissions and safety regulations, ensuring all processes comply with legal standards.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with service technicians, delivery associates, and management to ensure smooth operations and timely vehicle processing for customer deliveries.
