Job Description
1. Must work in a confidential manner to ensure confidentiality of employee and project files.
2. Facilitates the efficient operation of departments by performing a variety of administrative and team-supporting role tasks.
3. Performs administrative duties and may in compose routine correspondence and coordinating activities.
4. Checks quality of own work.
5. May assist in coordinating meeting arrangements.
6. Understands the work scope and integrate priorities for the project.
7. Understands work priorities and schedules.
8. May supervise and coordinate the activities of other project support personnel.
9. Keeps abreast of project and department systems, services relevant to area of responsibility, and project process improvements, procedures, and practices.
10. Prepares documents, using standard word processing, spreadsheets, or other project databases, as needed, to support work activities.
11. Processes a variety of procedural steps in accordance with well-defined procedures and guidelines.
12. Assists with maintaining project databases within assigned department and may produce logs and reports.
13. Assists in gathering information, such as status reports, for project field supervisor(s) and other project personnel as requested.
14. Implements procedures and may train personnel in area of responsibility, including use of project automated systems.
15. May review and resolve daily project support tasks on the project.
16. Assists in collecting and providing information to support records compliance assessments.
17. Updates, maintains and tracks files within project tracking systems.
18. Assists in compiling, creating and maintaining project reports as directed by supervisor.
19. Must be punctual and maintain a dependable level of attendance in accordance to project work rules.
20. Adheres to all safety procedures.
- Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) using various methods, including Penetrant Testing. (PT-Visible/Solvent), Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT-Visible Dry Powder) and Positive Material Identification Testing (PMI) in alignment with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., ASNT, API, AWS, ASTM).
- Interpret and evaluate test results, documenting findings in site welding database software and provide recommendations for further actions.
- Support quality control efforts by collaborating with engineering and construction teams to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians, providing guidance on NDT techniques and procedures.
- Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accuracy and readiness for testing procedures.
- Participate in inspections and assessments, contributing to root cause analyses and corrective actions, as necessary.
- Always ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of test results, equipment maintenance, and compliance documentation.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification in NDT preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in non-destructive testing, particularly in PT, PMI, and MT methodologies.
- Certification in PT, MT, and PMI from a recognized body (e.g., ASNT Level II or equivalent).
- Proficiency with NDT equipment and techniques, including familiarity with applicable codes, standards, and industry practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret technical data accurately.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work in varied environmental conditions.
