After serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for five years, I faced the challenges of transitioning to civilian life. Initially, I struggled to make ends meet, taking on various security jobs, but soon realized I needed a more substantial change. I decided to pursue a sales position at Holden Roofing, despite having no prior experience in sales or construction. Uncertain about my prospects, I was unsure whether I would even be hired, let alone succeed in the role. However, after completing on-the-job training, I quickly began to turn my life around. Within less than a year, I earned a promotion to team leader.
