Eligibility Specialist

Are you an experienced insurance verification professional with a passion for patient care and attention to detail? Las Vegas Urology is looking for an Eligibility Specialist to join our dedicated team! In this key role, you'll ensure our patients have a smooth experience by verifying insurance, processing referrals, and supporting front office staff in communicating patient responsibility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify insurance benefits for new and existing patients
• Check daily physician schedules and communicate out-of-pocket costs
• Input referrals and notify patients of any issues or rescheduling needs
• Perform quality control checks on patient documentation
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• 2-3 years of experience in insurance verification, authorizations, or claims
• Strong knowledge of healthcare/managed care
• Proficiency with MS Office and electronic health records
• Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills

Physical Demands: Requires sitting for periods of time. Some bending, lifting, and stretching required. Manual dexterity required for use of telephone and computer keyboard. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Position requires the ability to work in stressful situations.

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Two years' medical authorization experience, preferably in a clinic setting. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
