IT Manager (REMOTE)

We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled IT Manager to lead our technology initiatives remotely. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless operations across all systems. Your expertise will drive innovation, optimize network performance, and uphold the highest standards of information security. As a proactive leader, you will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage vendor relationships, and champion best practices in IT service management to support our organizational goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
• Oversee virtualization environments using VMware and vSphere to ensure efficient resource utilization and system stability.
• Manage enterprise databases including Microsoft SQL Server and Linux-based systems, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Implement and maintain network security protocols including firewalls, Active Directory, network security measures, and disaster recovery plans.
• Coordinate IT projects utilizing Agile methodologies to deliver solutions on time and within scope while managing project documentation via Jira or ServiceNow.
• Supervise technical support teams providing desktop support, server management, network troubleshooting (WAN/LAN), and remote access solutions.
• Ensure compliance with ITIL standards for IT service management while conducting vendor management for hardware/software procurement and maintenance.
• Develop business continuity plans to safeguard critical data and ensure rapid recovery in case of disruptions.
• Monitor network performance using SolarWinds or similar tools; optimize Cisco routers, DHCP configurations, and network infrastructure for peak efficiency.
• Lead efforts in information security by implementing policies for data protection, user access controls, and vulnerability assessments.

• Proven experience managing comprehensive IT infrastructure in a remote setting with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, VMware vSphere environments, Microsoft Windows Server platforms, Linux systems, and Azure cloud solutions.
• Expertise in database management including Microsoft SQL Server; familiarity with SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
• Hands-on experience with network engineering including Cisco routers, LAN/WAN configurations, firewalls, DHCP, VPNs, and remote access software.
• Familiarity with ITIL framework for service management; experience with SolarWinds monitoring tools is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead projects using Agile methodologies; proficient in Jira or ServiceNow for project tracking.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
• Knowledge of information security best practices including network security protocols and disaster recovery planning.
