[job_card.job_description]Decontaminate, clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments following AAMI standards. Assemble and package instrument trays, packs, and kits per content lists and protocols. Operate autoclaves, Sterrad, and steam sterilization systems; document sterilization cycles. Inspect and maintain instruments and equipment, replacing or reporting damaged parts. Perform biological and chemical tests, maintaining accurate sterilization logs. Prioritize workload according to the surgery schedule and communicate effectively with surgical teams. Maintain work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition. Position Overview
Join Team OI at OrthoIndy Hospital Westfield as a Sterile Processing Technician . This full-time role supports our outpatient surgery center by ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for safe use. You’ll be part of a respected orthopedic organization recognized for patient safety and excellence.
Schedule : Monday–Friday, 11 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM
Hours : 40 per week
Weekends / Holidays : No weekends. Closed for six major holidays annually.
