Position : Scripting Developer Lead

Location : Cincinnati, OH - Hybrid

Long Term Contract

Role Description

  • The Technical Lead drives technical design and delivery for point-of-sale (POS) terminal development, leading scripting and application enhancements across Python and Java components to support reliable store operations.
  • This role partners with product, hardware / terminal teams, QA, and operations to manage dependencies, guide implementation, and ensure release readiness and production stability.

Required Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience developing scripts and applications for POS terminals, including troubleshooting device-specific behaviors and integrating with peripheral services.
  • Proficiency in Python and Java, with experience building maintainable modules, utilities, and automation to support development and deployment.
  • Experience leading technical execution (design guidance, code reviews, mentoring, and defect triage) and coordinating across multiple workstreams.
  • Solid understanding of integration patterns and operational concerns in retail environments (logging, resiliency, offline / online handling).
