The Specialty Care Clinic is the primary provider of HIV/ Ryan White services for patients across the Northeast Health District's 10 counties: Barrow, Clarke, Elbert, Greene, Jackson, Madison, Morgan, Oconee, Oglethorpe, and Walton. Expanded-role nurses are Registered Professional Nurses employed by Georgia Department of Public Health who have completed specialized training and meet all statutory and regulatory requirements. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience working with culturally diverse and/or vulnerable populations, including sexual minorities and persons who have mental health or substance misuse disorders. We offer rigorous training and mentoring to help you become a successful Expanded Role Nurse. Also, training is continuous and based on best practices from evidence-based HIV guidelines.
Annual salary $70,158. Plus, generous benefits include 13 paid holidays, annual and sick leave, health insurance, and retirement plans.
The DPH Commissioner and agency leaders encourage all employees to engage in regular wellness activities and to make lifestyle choices that promote health and well-being. The use of physical activity breaks during the workday is authorized to support this philosophy and help employees meet their wellness goals. A maximum of 30 minutes of physical activity may be allocated per workday, typically in the form of two 15-minute breaks or one 30-minute break.
