Job Summary:

Under minimal supervision develop cost estimates on projects as required by client’s documents. Provide quality customer service for incoming sales and other related calls. Work with other departments to carry out similar work, refer difficulties to Estimating Manager. Follow up on all tasks to secure sales opportunities and ensure completion of work. Develop and maintain resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.

Essential Functions:

• Evaluate project needs and assess scope of work requirements
• Develop detailed scopes of work and project approach, delivery, and execution methodology descriptions
• Prepare customized, time sensitive technical proposals with detailed estimates
• Interact with company departments for input/review of proposals and resource planning/scheduling, etc
• Sell and apply company manufactured products and professional services as applicable
• Interact with consulting engineers and clients regarding proposal requirements
• Develop and maintain resource information on products, suppliers, subcontractors, government requirements, etc
• Establish and maintain business relationships (internal and external)
• Process product and professional services purchase orders and contracts
• Fill out sales order entries and estimating reports
• Attend scheduled and unscheduled project meetings as a representative of Tesco
• Track manufacturing process and update customers
• Prepare and track project change orders
• Maintain customer relationships and attend outside functions with key accounts
• Respond promptly to customer needs, solicit customer feedback to improve service, and maintain confidentiality with project information and customer sensitive data

Requirements:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred (minimum Business Administration, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent applicable experience acceptable
• Superior composition and technical writing skills
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Publisher and Access database experience is a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• High level of organizational skills
• Exceptional customer relations and networking skills

Preferred:

• Basic understanding of industrial controls and instrumentation (Manufacturing, Design, Programming, and Configuration)

Pay offered will be based on several factors including, but not limited to relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and geographic location. We may pay more or less than the range based on the person’s qualifications. In good faith we believe the range is what we will pay for this role at the time of the posting and may change in the future. In addition, Tesco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vacation, holidays, and 100% 401K match of your contributions up to 4% of your earnings.
